Terry Grahl is the founder and visionary for Enchanted Makeovers and an award-winning interior decorator, activist, and author. Her essay begins the section on Creativity in Women Will Save the World. In order to use our creative powers, we must stay in touch with our imaginations, the place where creativity is stored. This allows us to nurture that romantic side of ourselves where the child still resides.
Terry shows us how creativity can be used to save the world. Through Enchanted Makeovers, a non-profit organization, she has transformed women and children’s shelters into magical kingdoms which promote healing and inspire psychological and behavioral changes in their inhabitants. She takes a vision of a better place, and with paints, quilts, and other materials, she makes her vision become a reality. Through her unique and wonderful work she has made a substantial improvement in so many lives.
